['Leo Stetson']

---Reprinted from KMPS Magazine

"LED STETSON is one of the northwest's most popular and prominent Modern Country Music groups appearing throughout the Puget Sound area, Western Canada and on tour through the western United States beginning back in 1985. Traditional Country, New Country, Swing, Rockabilly, Blues and contemporary styles with full harmony voices are combined together to produce LED STETSON's unique and energetic country music show. LED STETSON presents current country chart hits, selected music from past eras, original songs, humor and other genres as part of their total entertainment package. CMA 'Horizon' award winner, Mark Chesnutt thinks enough of the band that he has gotten on their stage and sang with them. Not once, but both times he's come to Tacoma."

LED STETSON's personnel:

[Rick Jessup] Rick Jessup plays keyboards, harmonica and sings. Son of bandleader Les Davis, he began playing piano at the age of 5. His love of music has taken him all across the country and now home again. Rick became well known locally for playing in K-106's 77th Cavalry Band. His style of playing combines the finest elements of Country, Jazz, Rock & Blues. Offstage he enjoys rebuilding old pianos and electronics. Rick is currently a computer programmer for mega-retailer Costco.

[Monte Urevig] Monte Urevig plays guitar, slide guitar and sings. From gritty rock to chick'n pick'n, Monte combines modern guitar methods with a melodic soloing style. He is a premier lead player and multi-instrumentalist in today's country music field. Not widely known is the fact that he has a college degree and is a Registered Nurse. Offstage Monte enjoys working with computers and gourmet cooking.

[Leeroy Perkins] Leeroy Perkins plays bass guitar and sings. A founding member of Led Stetson, Leeroy started playing professionally in 1965. Became well known as a member of 'Shyanne', having backed up recording artists too numerous to mention, and, as a first-call studio bassist, he is a music business legend in the Northwest. In real life, Leeroy is a District Sales Manager for magazine & book wholesaler News Group West. His special interests include mountaineering, reading non-fiction and baseball.

[Terry Ray] Terry Ray plays drums, percussion and sings. Son of northwest country music legend Shotgun Red, he started playing professionally at the tender age of 11. Terry's experience in the country music field runs the gamut from studio work with Nokie Edwards(the Ventures) to dozens of concert dates while playing with KRPM's "Hot Licks 106" opening for such stars as Vince Gill, Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, Merle Haggard and Dwight Yoakam to name a few. Terry's hobbies include auto, drag and pro stock car racing. During the week he drives big rigs for Harold LeMay Enterprises.
